キリンヤガ地区はかなり高い標高なうえ、火山性土壌でとても良い品質の豆を生産する地区として有名です。

またケニア産コーヒー豆は基本的にウォッシュド製法で加工されます。
ナチュラル製法と違い、ミューシレージの除去の後しっかりと水洗いされ乾燥されます。
